About OPEL CASCADA / CABRIO
The Opel Cascada is a compact convertible car by the American manufacturer General Motors under the German brand Opel. It has been sold since 2013 as the Opel Cascada throughout Europe except in Spain, where it was marketed as the Opel Cabrio, and in the United Kingdom, where it was sold as the Vauxhall Cascada. In the United States, it was sold as the Buick Cascada, and in Australia and New Zealand, as the Holden Cascada.
The Cascada or Opel Cabrio is the successor to the Opel Astra H TwinTop. It uses the same platform as the Opel Astra J (GM Delta II Platform), becoming identical not only mechanically, but also in body elements and the instrument panel. It also uses the suspension of the Opel Astra GTC.
It is a 2-door, 4-seat convertible vehicle. The engine is front-mounted and it has front-wheel drive. There is only one generation of this vehicle. Its alternatives include the Renault Mégane CC, the Volkswagen EOS, the Audi A3 Cabrio, and the Ford Focus Coupé-Cabriolet.
