About FIAT 500L
The Fiat 500L is a B-segment compact MPV or minivan manufactured by the Italian automaker Fiat under the FCA Group (Stellantis after the merger with PSA). Unlike the Fiat 500, which is an A-segment city car, the 500L is a larger vehicle. Therefore, it uses a modified version of the FCA Small Wide Platform, the base of the 500. It was introduced in 2012 at the Geneva Motor Show. It uses the TwinAir and Multijet engines commonly found in multiple cars of the Italian FCA group.
In general, there is only one generation of this minivan, although several redesigns have been made during its lifespan. Most of its competitors have ended up disappearing to the detriment of SUV-bodied vehicles. Some of these competitors are the Honda Jazz, Opel Meriva, Skoda Roomster, Hyundai ix20, Citroen C3 Picasso, Renault Modus, and Dacia Dokker.
