FIAT PUNTO: timing chain or timing belt information

About FIAT PUNTO

The Fiat Punto is a B-segment subcompact utility vehicle from the Italian manufacturer Fiat. It has a total of 3 generations, the first one dating back to 1993.

The first-generation Fiat Punto replaced the Fiat Uno in Europe. It was a simple utility vehicle with a transverse front engine. It was sold in hatchback, hatchback van, and convertible body styles.

The second generation was launched in 1999 and ceased production in 2012. This model was the first utility vehicle equipped with a Common Rail direct injection diesel engine. Its life cycle was extended so much because it coexisted with the third-generation model starting in 2005, which was called the Fiat Grande Punto. This name is due to the fact that this vehicle was considerably more spacious and featured more powerful engines.

Among the competitors of the Fiat Punto we can find any subcompact, such as the Peugeot 206 and 207, the Citroen C3, the Toyota Yaris, the Ford Fiesta, the Opel Corsa, or the Renault Clio, among many other options.
