About FIAT SEDICI
The Fiat Sedici is a B-segment subcompact SUV from the Italian brand Fiat. This vehicle was developed between Fiat and Suzuki, although it was manufactured by the Japanese. It is a version of the Suzuki SX4.
The Fiat Sedici was launched in 2005 and had a single generation. Its name means "16", which is the result of multiplying "4x4". This is because there were several versions with four-wheel drive, as well as the standard front-wheel drive versions.
The Sedici sold particularly well in Italy, where it became one of the most demanded vehicles in its segment. However, in other markets, Fiat would end up withdrawing the model prematurely due to poor sales.
The Sedici received a facelift in 2009, including a new front grille that resembled that of the Bravo and a new bumper. Its interior featured new fabrics, more complex equipment, updated air conditioning vents, and engines that complied with Euro 5 regulations. The outdated 1.9-litre Multijet engine was replaced by the more powerful and more fuel-efficient 2.0-litre Multijet engine. The 1.6-litre petrol engine was also upgraded to 120 hp.
Alternatives to the Sedici included vehicles such as the Skoda Yeti, the Chevrolet Trax, the Dacia Duster, and the Honda HR-V.
