About FIAT SCUDO
The Fiat Scudo is a mid-size van marketed by the Italian brand Fiat and manufactured by Sevel Nord. There are 3 generations of this van.
The first generation of the Fiat Scudo was launched in 1995. This van was marketed in passenger and cargo variants. Generally speaking, it was an identical van to the Citroen Jumpy and the Peugeot Expert. This model was updated in 2004 with a minor exterior redesign.
The second generation was launched in 2007, and followed the same philosophy. The model grew in size compared to the previous model, now having more cargo space. The van also received improvements in 2011 and began to be sold as the Toyota ProAce starting in 2013. In 2016, Fiat did not continue making its van with PSA. Instead, it decided to follow up on the old Fiat Talento, launching a second-generation model with Renault based on the Renault Traffic / Opel Vivaro. However, when FCA merged with PSA in 2020, that model ceased production.
The third and current generation of the Fiat Scudo is produced on the PSA EMP2 platform since late 2022. This model is equivalent to the Peugeot Expert / Traveller and Citroen Jumpy / SpaceTourer. In addition to the standard versions, an electric variant called the Fiat E-Scudo was also launched.
Among the alternatives—in addition to those mentioned above—are the Volkswagen Transporter, Ford Transit, and Mercedes-Benz Vito.
