FIAT 500: timing chain or timing belt information

About FIAT 500

The Fiat 500 is an A-segment microcar or urban compact car from the Italian manufacturer Fiat under the FCA Group (Stellantis after the merger with PSA). Throughout history, Fiat has sold multiple models with this name. The brand decided to relaunch this brand starting in 2007, 50 years after the launch of the original model. In turn, it replaced the Fiat Seicento/600. The Abarth 500 was also born from the Fiat 500 (2007) starting in 2008, a performance version that mainly uses turbo engines and custom transmissions.

Fiat markets the standard version with a hatchback body as the Fiat 500. Adjacent vehicles have been born from this model, creating the 500 family within Fiat. The models that make it up are the Fiat 500C (convertible), Fiat 500L (MPV), Fiat 500X (SUV), and finally the Fiat 500e (electric hatchback).

The 500 has positioned itself as a vehicle that stands out for its design, and that is what differentiates it from its main competitors. Although there are multiple redesigns, all models of the 500 hatchback are considered a single generation. Among its competitors we could mention the Toyota Aygo, the Hyundai i10, the Kia Picanto, the Renault Twingo, and the Volkswagen Up.
