About FIAT 600
The Fiat 600 is a B-segment subcompact crossover SUV by the Italian manufacturer Fiat. It is currently in its first generation, launched in 2023. However, it does inherit its name from the old Fiat 600, the city car that began selling in the 1950s. The Fiat 600 does not have a direct predecessor, although it spiritually succeeds the Fiat 500L and the Fiat 500X.
The first-generation Fiat 600 was introduced in 2023. It is built on Stellantis's Common Modular Platform (CMP), which it shares with other group models such as the Jeep Avenger, Peugeot 2008, and Opel Mokka. It is manufactured at the Tychy plant in Poland. Aesthetically, the 600 borrows design elements from the Fiat 500, such as the circular headlights and the 600 badge above the grille.
Mechanically, this vehicle is sold in both combustion and electric versions. The thermal engine variant uses a 100 hp 1.2 PureTech gasoline block. On the other hand, the electric version is marketed as the Fiat 600e and is equipped with a 54 kWh battery that provides a range of about 400 km under the WLTP cycle. It only features a single 115 kW (154 hp) front electric motor. Throughout 2024, a mild-hybrid gasoline engine variant is also expected to be released.
The main rivals of the Fiat 600 in the B-segment of urban crossovers are models such as the Peugeot 2008, Opel Mokka, Renault Captur, Volkswagen T-Cross, Hyundai Kona, and Seat Arona, among others.
