The Skoda Kamiq is a subcompact crossover SUV (B-segment in Europe) by the Czech brand Škoda and manufactured by the Volkswagen Group. It is the brand’s smallest SUV. The Kamiq became commercially available at the end of 2019. It is based on the Vision X concept, introduced by the brand a year earlier. The VAG Group’s MQB A0 platform is used for its assembly. This means that this small crossover shares many elements with the Seat Arona and Volkswagen T-Cross, its equivalents in other brands of the German group.
The Skoda Kamiq is in one of today’s most competitive segments. The market demands subcompact vehicles with SUV bodywork, and the offer in this case is very wide. Some of the most outstanding competitors in its field are the Hyundai Kona, the Ford EcoSport, the Renault Captur, the Kia Stonic, the Peugeot 2008 or the Citroen C3 Aircross. There is only one generation of this vehicle.
