The Lexus UX is a subcompact SUV vehicle (C-segment in Europe) manufactured by Lexus, the deluxe brand by Toyota. This luxury crossover was first launched at the Geneva Motor Show in 2008 as the smallest SUV by Lexus. It is produced on the platform TNGA GA-C and its name stands for “Lexus Urban eXplorer”.
There is only one generation of the Lexus UX. It competes with other subcompact luxury crossover SUVs such as the Audi Q3, BMW X1 & X2, the Range Rover Evoque, the Mercedes-Benz GLA Class, the Jaguar E-Pace, Volvo XC40, Acura RDX, and the Cupra Formentor.
