Volkswagen Amarok — TIMING CHAIN OR BELT?

MODEL LIST - (UPDATED 2023)

| Home / Volkswagen / List of Volkswagen Amarok Models without Timing Belt

The Volkswagen Amarok is a pickup truck manufactured by the German automaker Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. There are two generations of this vehicle to date.

The first generation of this vehicle began to be marketed in 2010. It was manufactured in Argentina and Ecuador and marketed especially in Latin American countries (Costa Rica, Panama and Mexico, mainly). Some units were manufactured in Germany to be marketed in Europe and Russia, although it also had a significant market in Australia. In this first generation, the Amarok was an all-wheel drive vehicle 4×4 and had different equipment and configurations depending on the use intended for the pickup.

The second-generation Volkswagen Amarok was presented in 2022. This time, it was born after a partnership between Volkswagen and Ford (as it had already happened with the Tourneo and Caddy). The second-generation Amarok is based on the Ford Ranger platform. However, the van will not be sold in the United States so as not to compete with the Ford model. This model wins in size, dynamism and also aesthetically. The brand has also put a lot of emphasis on its customization levels, making it an ideal model to customize, as we have already seen with other pickups from the competition.

The Volkswagen Amarok competes against the Toyota Hilux, the Ford Ranger and Nissan Navara among others.
