Nissan Titan — TIMING CHAIN OR BELT?

MODEL LIST - (UPDATED 2023)

| Home / Nissan / List of Nissan Titan Models without Timing Belt

The Nissan Titan is a full-size pickup truck manufactured by the Japanese marque Nissan. It has been manufactured since 2003 for the North American market. There are a total of 2 generations of this vehicle.

This pickup was in its developtment stage for four years, as it is a product designed to go head to head with the best cargo vans in the world. It was built on the F-Alpha platform developed by Nissan, which was also used to manufacture the Nissan Armada and Infiniti QX56 SUVs. Until 2015, the first-generation model remained unchanged.

For the second generation, Nissan wanted its Titan to be a rebadged version of the Dodge RAM. However, the economic crisis of 2008 would eventually change the plans. This new model ended up coming out in 2015. Two variants were offered: standard and XD. 5-liter V8 turbodiesel engines from Cummins -the same manufacturer that produces diesel engines for RAM- were also offered. Double and single cab options called Single Cab, Crew Cab and King Cab were also offered.

Some of the competitors to the Nissan Titan are the Dodge RAM, Ford F-150 and Toyota Tundra.
