The Nissan Primera is a passenger car (D-segment in Europe) manufactured by the Japanese marque Nissan. It was in production from 1990 until 2008. The Primera had a total of 3 generations. In some markets, these models were marketed as Infiniti G20. The successor of this model is the Nissan Altima, although in many European countries, Nissan decided to exclusively sell SUV bodywork in the D-segment.

In Japan and Europe, the second generation Nissan Primera debuted in 1995. In Europe it was sold with the three different variants, while in Japan only the sedan version remained. In 1999, the brand updated the European model with new optics and a new 1.8 gasoline engine.

The third and last generation of the Nissan Primera was made in collaboration with Renault. For the first time, no equivalent Infiniti version was created. In addition, the most powerful versions were not on sale for the European public. This model had poor sales, so the Japanese soon withdrew the car from markets such as the UK. Finally, the model was discontinued after 2008.

The Nissan Primera competed with other equivalent sedans such as the Honda Accord, Toyota Avensis and Camry, Mazda 6, Ford Mondeo, Citroen C5, Volkswagen Passat and many others.
