About TOYOTA RAIZE
The Toyota Raize is a B-segment subcompact crossover from the Japanese manufacturer Daihatsu, and marketed by Toyota. It is a version of the Daihatsu Rocky, with which it shares its platform, engines, and a large part of its bodywork elements and interior finishes. In other markets, it is also sold under the names Subaru Rex and Perodua Ativa. To date, there is only one generation of the Toyota Raize.
The first-generation Toyota Raize was unveiled at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show. It is built on Daihatsu's DNGA-A platform. Regarding engines, the Raize is available with a 1.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that produces 98 hp, as well as a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated powerplant with 87 hp. Both can be paired with a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT. All-wheel drive is offered as an option. In some markets, such as Japan, hybrid-electric variants have also been introduced.
Unlike other Toyota vehicles for emerging markets, the Raize comes standard with 6 airbags, stability control, hill start assist, and an autonomous emergency braking system. Its alternatives include models such as the Fiat Pulse or the Chery / Chirey Tiggo 2 Pro.
