The Toyota Land Cruiser is a range of four-wheel drive and SUV vehicles (E-segment and F-segment in Europe) manufactured by the Japanese automaker Toyota. Its production began back in 1951 and it is one of the most lasting series by Toyota. The Land Cruiser is worldwide acclaimed for its great durability and bodywork quality. It was conceived as a competitor against Jeep. It is not available in some markets, since Toyota prefers to upsell its deluxe version, the Lexus LX.

This vehicle, specially its pick-up version is widely used in Africa, were it’s the ideal mode of transport for farmers, ONG’s and armies. It is commonly used as a military vehicle by the UN due to the ease with which it can move over rough terrain and in adverse conditions.

There are six generations of the Toyota Land Cruiser, although Toyota classifies them by bodyword and function.
