Mazda BT-50 — TIMING CHAIN OR BELT?

MODEL LIST - (UPDATED 2023)

| Home / Mazda / List of Mazda BT-50 Models without Timing Belt

The Mazda BT-50 is a pick-up truck manufactured by the Japanese marque Mazda. It has been marketed since 2006, and came to replace the Mazda B-Series vans. All these vehicles are produced with a collaboration between Mazda and Ford. This is an agreement not to sell this vehicle either in the United States or in Japan. So far, there are 3 generations of this model.

The first two generations of this van used Ford Duratorq diesel engines. The model shares several of its components with the Ford Ranger. Within this line, there is a model launched in 2012 called the Mazda BT-50 Pro.

The current generation of the Mazda BT-50 was developed based on the third-generation Isuzu D-Max. Alternatives to this vehicle include other pickups such as the Mitsubishi L200, Nissan Frontier, the Toyota Hilux and the Volkswagen Amarok.
