Renault Vel Satis — TIMING CHAIN OR BELT?

MODEL LIST - (UPDATED 2023)

| Home / Renault / List of Renault Vel Satis Models without Timing Belt

The Renault Vel Satis is an executive car (E-segment in Europe) from the French manufacturer Renault. It is halfway between a sedan and a minivan. It began production in 2001 as a replacement for the Renault Safrane. Its name is an acronym for Speed and Satisfaction.

The Vel Satis began production at the same time as the Renault Avantime, and shares the same design line (both models are the work of the same designer). It is a 5-door liftback with an avant-garde design. It shared many elements with the Renault Espace and the Renault Laguna.

The Vel Satis had a gasoline version with a 3.5 liter V6 engine and several diesel versions. In 2009, Renault decided not to give continuity to this vehicle, being replaced by the Renault Latitude. The Vel Satis had only one generation, although it did have a mid-cycle exterior redesign. Among its alternatives are vehicles such as the Hyundai Azera, the Peugeot 607, the Citroen C6 or the Nissan Maxima.
